Cuc Phuong National Park
Vietnam's oldest national park with ancient rainforest, a 1,000-year-old tree, 300+ bird species, and an Endangered Primate Rescue Center.
Overview
Established in 1962, Cuc Phuong is Vietnam's oldest national park. Dense primary rainforest covers the valley, sheltering a 1,000-year-old Terminalia tree, over 300 bird species, and rare primates including the Delacour's langur and red-shanked douc. The park's Endangered Primate Rescue Center rehabilitates gibbons, lorises, and langurs rescued from the wildlife trade — a visit here is both moving and educational.
Entry: 60,000 VND adults. The park is about 45 km from Ninh Binh town; a motorbike or day-tour is the easiest way to get there.
