Langbiang Mountain
Twin peaks rising to 2,167 m above Da Lat — a half-day hike or jeep ride through pine forest to a summit with panoramic views over the entire Central Highlands plateau.
Overview
Langbiang Mountain is Da Lat's most prominent natural landmark — twin summits (2,167 m and 2,124 m) rising above the plateau northwest of the city, named after a legendary love story between a K'Ho boy and a Lat girl. The hike to the lower summit through pine and cloud forest takes 2–3 hours; the higher peak requires a guide and is more challenging. Alternatively, a 4WD jeep can drive you most of the way up for sunrise. On clear days the view encompasses the entire Da Lat plateau, distant reservoirs, and on exceptional days, the sea.
Entry to Langbiang National Park: 20,000 VND. Jeep rides to the summit: approximately 200,000 VND per person. Located 12 km north of Da Lat centre in Lac Duong. Hire a guide for the full hiking route — trails fork frequently.
