Overview
Bai Dinh is a record-breaking complex by any measure — the largest Buddhist site in Southeast Asia, covering 1,700 acres across two areas (old and new). The new complex features a 13-story bell tower you can climb, a hall with three enormous bronze Buddhas (the largest weighs 100 tonnes), and a 3 km covered walkway lined with 500 stone arhat statues, each with a unique expression. Electric carts shuttle visitors around the grounds.
Entry to the complex is free; electric cart 30,000 VND. Allow 2–3 hours. Located 15 km northwest of Ninh Binh town.
