Rang Beach

Mui Ne's central beach — a long, coconut-palm-lined strip that is the base for kitesurfing, surfing, and the relaxed resort life the town is known for.

Overview

Rang Beach is the central beach of Mui Ne town and the hub of the area's resort strip. The beach runs for several kilometres along the Ham Tien road, backed by a dense row of hotels, bungalow resorts, seafood restaurants, and kite schools. The water is warm and generally calm from November to July; the wind picks up from August to October, making conditions rough for swimming but ideal for kite and wind sports. The sunrise here — with fishing boats silhouetted against an orange sky — is one of the most photographed scenes on the south coast.

Free access. Sunloungers provided by most beachfront restaurants for free with a food or drink order. The southern end near the fishing village is quieter; the central section around the kite schools is busiest. Best for swimming November–April; best for kiting May–October.
