Tuyen Lam Lake
Da Lat's largest reservoir — a serene pine-fringed lake ideal for kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, and sunrise photography.
Overview
Tuyen Lam is Da Lat's largest reservoir, created in 1982 and now surrounded by pine forest and rolling hills. The lake is most magical at dawn when mist drifts across the water, and at sunset when the pine-covered hillsides glow orange. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available for hire from the main pier, and the Truc Lam Zen Monastery on the eastern shore — reached by cable car from the city — is one of the finest active monasteries in southern Vietnam.
Water sport hire from the pier: approximately 100,000–150,000 VND per hour. Cable car to Truc Lam: 80,000 VND return. Sunrise sessions bookable from 05:00. About 5 km south of the city centre.
