Twin Towers (Thap Doi)
Two well-preserved Cham towers standing side-by-side in the heart of Quy Nhon city — a rare example of late Champa architecture blending local and Khmer influences.
Overview
The Twin Towers (Tháp Đôi) are the most accessible Cham monument in Quy Nhon — two towers of different sizes standing side by side in a small park within the city itself, built between the 12th and 13th centuries during the late Champa period. Unlike the earlier brick towers of My Son, the Thap Doi towers show clear Khmer influence in their stone-carved decorative work: lotus motifs, garuda figures, and multi-tiered roofs. The larger tower still bears its original terracotta-coloured brick, and a Garuda figure perches at the very top. The surrounding park is pleasant and quiet.
Entry approximately 10,000 VND. Located on Tran Hung Dao Street in central Quy Nhon — the most convenient Cham site to visit if time is limited. Open daily 07:00–17:00. A good first stop before heading to the more remote Banh It towers outside the city.
