Banh It Cham Towers

A hilltop cluster of four Cham towers 20 km north of Quy Nhon — the pyramid-shaped main tower and sweeping countryside panoramas make this one of the most photogenic Cham sites in Vietnam.

Overview

The Banh It Cham Tower complex (Tháp Bánh Ít) sits on a hilltop 20 km north of Quy Nhon and is one of the best-preserved multi-tower Cham sites in Vietnam. Four towers of varying sizes crown the summit — the main tower's stepped pyramidal form is said to resemble a bánh ít (glutinous rice cake), which inspired the name. The surrounding countryside of rice paddies, lagoons, and distant hills makes the hilltop setting as rewarding as the architecture itself. Far fewer visitors come here than to My Son, giving the site a quiet, unhurried atmosphere.

Entry approximately 15,000 VND. Located near Phu My town off National Highway 1A, about 20 km north of Quy Nhon. Accessible by motorbike in 25–30 minutes. Open daily. The climb to the main tower is short but steep — the view from the top over the coastal plain and lagoon is exceptional.
