Doc Let Beach
A calm, family-friendly beach 50 km north of Nha Trang — shallow clear water, white sand, and casuarina shade without the city crowds.
Overview
Doc Let Beach, about 50 km north of Nha Trang near Ninh Hoa, is the alternative for travellers who find the city beach too busy. The shoreline stretches 2.5 km with fine white sand and water shallow enough to wade 50 metres from shore — ideal for children. Casuarina and pine trees provide natural shade, and the beach retains a low-key, local-resort atmosphere with simple seafood restaurants and basic facilities. The drive north from Nha Trang along the coast road is also worthwhile in itself.
Entry fee approximately 30,000–50,000 VND (includes basic facilities). About 50 km north — 45–60 minutes by motorbike or taxi. Calmer and cleaner than the city beach year-round due to its north-facing aspect, which shelters it from the main swell direction. Best visited as a day trip; limited accommodation options.
