Ky Co Beach

A sheltered bay of turquoise water flanked by dramatic limestone cliffs — consistently rated one of the most beautiful beaches on Vietnam's south-central coast.

Overview

Ky Co Beach is the undisputed jewel of the Quy Nhon coastline — a sheltered bay about 20 km northeast of the city where limestone cliffs drop into water so clear you can see the bottom at 5 metres. The combination of white sand, turquoise shallows, and dramatic geology makes it feel more like a southern Thai island than the Vietnamese mainland. The beach stays calm and swimmable for most of the year, and the rocks on either side of the bay offer decent snorkelling over coral and reef fish without needing a boat.

Accessible by boat from Quy Nhon port (30 min, approximately 80,000–120,000 VND return) or by motorbike via a coastal road — the road journey adds a scenic cliff-side drive. Best March–September during the dry season; swells can make the boat crossing rough in winter. Entry fee approximately 30,000 VND. Arrive early — by midday in high season the beach is busy.
