Destinations in Vietnam

Vietnam stretches more than 3,300 kilometres from the misty mountains near the Chinese border to the tropical tip of the Ca Mau Peninsula — an S-shaped country that packs extraordinary landscape variety into a relatively narrow landmass. The Truong Son mountain range runs the length of the country as a natural spine, shaping the climate, the cultures, and the character of each region.

Travellers divide Vietnam into three distinct zones: the north, defined by highland culture and the cultural gravity of Hanoi; the centre, where imperial history meets dramatic beaches and cave systems; and the south, where the Mekong Delta, tropical islands, and the energy of Ho Chi Minh City set the pace.
